VERITY GEMS LIFETIME CRAFTSMANSHIP WARRANTY

1. WARRANTY GRANT

Verity Gems ("we," "us," or "our") warrants to the original purchaser ("you") that all jewelry purchased from veritygems.com or authorized retailers shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the piece, subject to the terms herein.

2. COVERED DEFECTS

This warranty covers manufacturing flaws occurring under normal use, including:

Structural Failures: Broken clasps, hinges, chains, or bails due to faulty construction
Setting Defects: Loose/broken prongs causing stone loss; improperly secured bezels or channels
Finish Defects: Peeling/flaking of rhodium plating (within first 12 months)
Component Malfunction: Earring post detachment, spring ring mechanism failure

3. EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover:

Damage from accidents, impact, crushing, or chemical exposure (chlorine, bleach, cosmetics)
Normal wear and tear (scratches, dents, bent shanks, worn prong tips, chain stretching)
Loss, theft, or mysterious disappearance of entire pieces or stones
Damage from:
- Swimming pools/hot tubs
- Ultrasonic/steam cleaning (except by Verity Gems)
- Third-party repairs, resizing, engraving, or modifications
Custom or "final sale" items marked as non-returnable

4. CLAIM PROCESS

To initiate a warranty claim:

Document: Email clear photos + video of defect to with order number
Assessment: Our gemologists review within 48 business hours
Approval: If covered, we email a prepaid shipping label (U.S.)
Ship: Securely pack jewelry in original box/pouch + include all certificates
Resolution: Choose:
- Repair: Standard (10-20 business days)
- Replacement: For identical/comparable item if repair impossible
- Refund: Original purchase price if neither repair nor replacement feasible

5. COMPLIMENTARY SERVICES

First Resize: Free ring resizing (±2 sizes) within 90 days of purchase
Annual Inspection: Professional cleaning, prong tightening, and integrity check
Replating: One free rhodium replating per white gold item annually

Note: Customer pays outbound shipping for service visits; we cover return shipping.

6. WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

Non-Transferable: Valid only for original purchaser with proof of purchase
Single Owner: Void if sold, gifted, or inherited
Geographic Limit: Valid worldwide but return shipping reimbursement capped at $50 outside U.S.
Liability Cap: Our maximum liability = original purchase price

7. LAB-GROWN DIAMOND PROTOCOL

Always inform third-party jewelers stones are lab-grown before heat-based repairs
Exposure to temperatures >700°C voids stone integrity coverage

8. STATE LAW RIGHTS

Some states prohibit limitations on implied warranties or incidental damages. Where applicable, this warranty gives specific legal rights; other rights may vary.
