FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Learn more about our materials, craftsmanship, and quality standards that make Verity Gems the premier choice for fine jewelry.
What materials are used in your jewelry?
We craft every piece using only solid gold in 10K, 14K, and 18K, available in yellow, white, and rose gold. Our jewelry features genuine precious gemstones and diamonds—both lab-grown and natural—selected for their exceptional quality and brilliance.
Do you use conflict-free diamonds?
Yes, absolutely. We are committed to ethical sourcing and only work with conflict-free diamonds. All our diamonds, whether lab-grown or natural, are sourced through responsible suppliers who adhere to the Kimberley Process and strict ethical standards. Lab-grown diamonds are inherently conflict-free, and our natural diamonds are carefully vetted to ensure they are ethically sourced and do not fund conflict or human rights abuses.
Are your diamonds certified?
Yes, all diamonds 0.20 carats and larger are certified through recognized gemological laboratory institutes including IGI, GIA, AGS, or other reputable labs. This certification guarantees the authenticity and quality of every diamond.
Do you use natural or lab-grown diamonds?
We primarily work with lab-grown diamonds, though we also offer select pieces featuring natural diamonds. Both options meet the same rigorous quality standards and are certified for your peace of mind.
Are your gemstones natural or lab-created?
We work exclusively with natural, genuine precious gemstones. All our gemstones—including sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and others—are real, naturally formed stones that meet the highest quality standards. Each gemstone is carefully selected and verified for authenticity through reputable gemological laboratories to ensure you receive only the finest natural stones in your jewelry.
What is the difference between lab-grown and natural diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled laboratory environments using advanced technology that replicates the natural diamond formation process. They are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds, which form deep within the Earth over billions of years. Both options are real diamonds with the same brilliance, durability, and beauty. The primary differences are origin and price—lab-grown diamonds offer exceptional value while natural diamonds carry the romance of their ancient geological formation. All our diamonds, whether lab-grown or natural, meet the same rigorous quality standards and are certified by reputable gemological laboratories.
What's the difference between 10K, 14K and 18K gold?
The difference lies in the gold purity. 10K gold contains 41.7% pure gold and is the most durable, making it ideal for everyday wear. 14K gold contains 58.3% pure gold, offering a beautiful balance of durability and richness. 18K gold contains 75% pure gold, providing the richest color and luxurious feel while remaining suitable for fine jewelry. All three options are high-quality solid gold—your choice depends on your preference for color intensity, durability, and budget.
Can I resize my ring?
Yes, we offer one free ring resizing (±2 sizes) within 90 days of purchase. Our expert jewelers will ensure your ring fits perfectly while maintaining its structural integrity and beauty. Please note that eternity rings cannot be resized due to their design.
Do you offer custom or personalized jewelry?
We do not currently offer custom or personalized jewelry, but this is something we will be introducing soon. Stay tuned for updates on our custom jewelry services.
What is your Lifetime Warranty?
Our Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects and includes complimentary services to keep your jewelry beautiful for years to come. The warranty is valid for the original purchaser and requires proof of purchase to make a claim. You do not need to do anything to keep the warranty valid—it is automatically yours with every purchase.
Warranty benefits include an annual inspection with professional cleaning, prong tightening, and integrity check; one free rhodium replating per white gold item annually; bi-annual service for high-wear items including ring shank reinforcement and rhodium replating; and gemstone re-polishing for scratched sapphires or rubies.
The warranty does not cover normal wear, theft, or damage from misuse. To make a warranty claim, please contact warranty@veritygems.com with your proof of purchase.
Can I get my jewelry appraised?
Yes, we recommend having your fine jewelry professionally appraised for insurance purposes. While we provide certificates of authenticity for our diamonds and detailed information about materials and gemstones, an independent appraisal from a certified gemologist can establish the current market value for insurance coverage. We're happy to provide all documentation needed to support your appraisal process.
